Participation is FREE!

In exchange, we ask for your commitment to promote the citywide holiday campaign on your website, social networks, e-newsletters, shop displays, or wherever you can promote. You will receive a marketing toolkit (graphics and cut-n-paste social media copy) to make it easy.

Though we will heavily promote in partnership with the City of Oakland, Chambers, Visit Oakland, merchant groups, and other partners, this campaign is most effective with marketing support provided by each participating merchant.

Participating means you are open for business or online sells, offer discounts or special offers, and are providing a festive environment (examples: hot cider, cookies, Santa, window décor, extended hours, holiday lights, music, etc.). Are you participating in Oakland Grown's fundraiser November 1 - December 31 (launches with Giving Tuesday) which is raising money to buy school supplies for Oakland Public school teachers? *
Nonprofit recipient: Oakland Public Education Fund, 501(c)(3) http://www.oaklandedfund.org Note: A campaign webpage with fundraising tracker along with marketing materials will provided prior to launch for those participating.

Participation in the citywide holiday campaign is free. However, you may want to boost your exposure through guaranteed inclusion in Gift Guides, sponsoring the overall campaign, or having your business spotlighted on the website and social media platforms.

Note - Current Oakland Grown and Oakland Makers members (Basic, Standard or Premium levels) will receive the following additional marketing benefits at no charge (a $250 value):

  • Inclusion in 1 Gift Guide (minimum)
